Next Level DVS Routine By DJ Rafik
Now that´s what I´m talking about! Eversince Final Scratch came out I was wondering what the benefits of this new system would be. Not carrying records anymore simply wasn´t enough for me and while other DJs simply did that and showed up with a little bag for their laptop and soundcard I still was carrying 200 plus records with me. At least someone could have made some edits of "unplayable" songs, but no one (at least around Hannover where I live) did that. Getting an awkwardly expensive DVS for that purpose only didn´t really make up to investing 600 Eurobucks so i used to request a CD Player on gigs for my edits. Why no one in Serato ever used cuepoints back then and still only a few people do now, remains a mystery for me as well. Eversince I bought Torq I was into Controlerism. I started with a Trigger Finger Controller and now use a Nano Key (for Cuepoints, Instant Doubles & Loops) and a Nano Kontrol (for FX & Browser Control) and I must say it´s as much fun as it was back in 1994 when i got my first decks. DJ Rafik takes it to the top with 8 eight cuepoints and Traktor Scratch. Look, listen & enjoy!
